~Who started the fight first?

It doesn't matter.

If you're continuing with the fight, it's as if you started it.

It always takes two people to fight.

All you have to do is stop fighting, or not start fighting.

Who Started It? You Did!

It just doesn't matter who threw that first stone,

If you throw the next one, this fight you’ve condoned.

A fight needs two people, both grinding and grilling,

You can always walk out, and that choice is most thrilling.

It takes two to tangle, it takes two to clash,

Just stop for a moment before you both crash.

You don't have to answer, you don't have to bite,

One person refusing will end any fight.

It just doesn't matter who threw that first stone,

If you throw the next one, this fight you’ve condoned.

A fight needs two people, both grinding and grilling,

You can always walk out, and that choice is most thrilling.

If you’re the one who keeps going, you bear those costs,

Pressing the fight is for you to choose what is lost.

Is winning so much more precious than your peace?

You hold in your hands the power to release.

So next time the sparks fly and tempers run high,

Remember the choice is yours to let that fire die.

Just step away quietly, don’t continue that duel,

And never go back there to keep stoking that fuel.

It just doesn't matter who threw that first stone,

If you throw the next one, this fight you’ve condoned.

A fight needs two people, both grinding and grilling,

You can always walk out, and that choice is most thrilling.
