Twenty-Seven Beauties, Buried Alive

Oh, listen close, for here's the truth,

A sleeping sickness infects our youth,

Not one disease, but twenty-seven,

Each one stealing a piece of heaven,

It’s called Adultoleptic Zombiosis,

Each one more deadly than cyanosis.

They creep in soft, they creep in slow,

Until all your fires no longer glow.

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

Your Anger hides in Resentophrenia's hold,

Your Crying's frozen in Stoicosis, so cold,

Fearlessophrenia dims your Fear so bright,

Anxietophrenia steals your Peace at night,

Sold as virtues, each one a feat—

With halos declared, their disguise complete!

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

Correctolepsy binds your Creativity down,

Boringophrenia paints Curiosity brown,

Practicalopathy tames Imagination's flight,

And Jadedopathy dims your Wonder's light,

Distractiosis steals Rapture's captivating stare,

Oh what a waste, what a terrible loss to bear!

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

Exiliosis exiles your Belonging away,

Subordinosis makes Sovereignty stray,

Vanitiosis fakes Authenticity's face,

Defensopathy guards Vulnerability's place,

Yesolepsy will not let you Refuse or say “no,”

Domestiosis tames the Wildness that longs to go.

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

Blandiosis flattens your Joy to gray,

Workolepsy kills each Playful day,

Seriositis mocks your Silliness as small,

Scheduleosis will not let Spontaneity call,

Deadenosis numbs the Senses in your skin,

Entitlementosis smothers Gratitude within.

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

Controliosis fights your Powerlessness to yield,

Finalitosis hides the Dawning, the future kneels,

Accommodopathy hides your "no" behind a mask,

Rigoritosis turns your dancing to a rigid task,

Apathiosis cools the Excitement in your chest,

And Shouldiosis shuts down your Innocence’s best.

So name each illness, name them clear,

Adultoleptic Zombiosis—they’re so severe,

For diagnosis is the first step of the cure,

That waking light that sees each one sure,

The cure for all is courage, you’ll find,

To lead each child out, none left behind!

Twenty-seven beauties, so alive and true,

Each one the answer: who are you?

But then Zombiosis came to call,

And, one by one, they each did fall.

But now you know what you forgot,

They’re still alive, untie their knots!

Then one by one, with courage true,

You’ll reclaim life, you’ll reclaim you!

I got it!
