Day by Day: 35 Questions to Change your Life…
The following thirty-five "reminder" questions are all you need to easily re-create your life, step by step,
into a joy felt naturally in the daily living of your life.
In answering each question, give yourself a percentage score
(like 100% for all the time or 30% for only 30% of the time). Some questions could be divided into two of more questions.
If helpful, answer each of these separately (like #12). Recommendation: choose five questions a day.
Every seven days you'll go through all 35 questions
to ask and answer for yourself.
Asking and answering these questions
takes less than three minutes a day.
Spoiler alert: see question #34.
21. Am I being my own best friend?
Am I giving myself admiration, compassion, and understanding?
22. Am I letting go of defensiveness?
Am I remembering there is nothing to defend?
23. Am I remembering that others’ upset with me
means nothing bad about me?
24. Am I watching the machinery of my mind
with compassion and curiosity,
knowing that I am not my machinery?
25. Am I remembering to bring myself present to this moment,
letting go of the past and the future?

Friday's Five: Stepdancing Your Life
Thirty-five questions to change how you live,
Just five questions a day is all you need give.
Score yourself one to ten, honest and true,
Three minutes a day to create a new you.
Ask and answer with ease, let the numbers reveal,
How lively you're living, what you’d like to feel.
Five questions on Friday, five more Saturday through,
Seven days, thirty-five — a new life flowing through.
Am I being my own very best friend on this day?
With compassion and understanding, come what may?
Admiring myself as a best friend would do,
Giving myself kindness that's both true and due?
Am I letting go of my defensiveness here,
Knowing nothing’s to defend and no danger is near?
When I drop my armor and open my heart,
Life flows so freely and it’s off the charts.
When others are upset, does it mean I’ve done bad?
Is it about who I am cause they became mad?
I'm learning to see that their feelings are theirs,
And there’s no need for me to be caught in their lairs.
Am I watching my mind with curiosity's eye?
As those automatic thoughts are just passing by?
With compassion I notice as those thoughts arise,
Knowing they’re not me, what a joyful surprise!
Am I now just in this moment, present and free?
Am I Ietting go of the past, of what used to be?
The future can wait for me, while the past is all done,
I’m now in this moment where it’s okay to have fun.
Ask and answer with ease, let the numbers reveal,
How lively you're living, what you’d like to feel.
Five questions on Friday, five more Saturday through,
Seven days, thirty-five — a new life flowing through.
